Space Invaders - Early Years Arts Festival 2017

Space Invaders returns to Farmleigh this May with a creative and playful programme for children aged 0-5years and their adults. Fingal Arts Office recognises the importance of supporting the artistic learning, development and wellbeing of children, their carers and educators. Space Invaders upholds the principles of the Creative Ireland Programme and supports the development of a creative society for all.  Working in partnership with Cliodhna Noonan of Acting Up Arts and Jackie Maguire of Colourstrings Music with Jackie we have devised an artistic programme that celebrates and supports these important first years in life.

Meet with and workshop alongside recognised expert early years artists during our Professional Development Day on Saturday 13th for educators and artists wishing to develop their skills and understanding of the arts in early years. There are three experiential workshops to choose from and you can attend more than one, but be sure to book your place as we’ve limited capacity.

Our Children’s Festival Programme on Sunday 14th is full of artistic adventures for children, their parents and carers. Choose from a selection of international shows created by companies and artists renowned for their innovation in early years arts. We are pleased to present all events free of charge, but book early as places are limited.

We’re delighted to welcome Choro Hy-Brasil back this year to play their instrumental music in the open air.  We hope that you have a healthy and happy weekend whatever you choose to attend. Be sure to pack a picnic and enjoy the beautiful surrounding nature that Farmleigh has to offer. We look forward to seeing you there.
