Calling all Fingal music teachers, music schools, musicians, music groups and Young People!
To develop a clear picture of current activity and gaps in the provision of music education in Fingal, The Arts Office Commissioned Rachel Holstead to undertake a countywide study. This will allow us to see where it might be possible to build on current resources and how to deploy new resources most effectively. We know that some excellent work is already taking place in Fingal but that it is often a challenge to find the resources needed to make accessible, sustainable and high-quality music education provision.
Although the consultation date has passed, and new information cannot be included in the study, we are still very much interested in hearing from. You can contact the Arts Office by completing the relevant questionnaire and returning to, Music Generation, Fingal County Council, County Hall, Swords, County Dublin.
f you are an independent music teacher of any type of music or are associated with a music school, please download a questionnaire, fill it in and return it to us. We greatly appreciate you sharing your experience and your vision by filling this in.
If you are a performing musician or are associated with a performing group (choir, band etc.), we would also like to hear from you.
Are you under 18 years of age and living in Fingal? We would like to learn about your experience of music (even if that’s none!) and to hear your views on music education in Fingal. Please download a questionnaire, fill it in and return it to us. Please spread the word and encourage all your Fingal music teachers and musician friends to download a questionnaire, fill it in and return it to us.
